Terms of Service for Tecnologico Meze

Acceptance of Workshop Terms

By using this website or booking a bay at our shop, you agree to these terms. Tecnologico Meze is a small, grounded workshop located at 11 Oxford Road, Southampton. We are a team of 4 specialists focused on Italian sports cars. These rules are here to keep our workshop running smoothly and to ensure your car gets the technical attention it needs. We do not have a showroom or a sales team. When you fill out a contact form, you are speaking directly to mechanics like Callum Thorne or Alistair Vance.

We use this site to share our fabrication work and dyno data. You must provide accurate information about your vehicle's history and current condition. We reserve the right to decline any project that is not a good fit for our specialized tools or expertise. We focus on Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati engines. If you use our site, you acknowledge that we are a technical facility, not a general repair garage. We value honesty and direct communication in every transaction.

Estimates, Labour, and Sessions

We provide rough quotes based on the specs you share with us. Our standard labour rate is £85 per hour for mechanical work and metal fabrication. Most routine services take about 3.2 hours to complete properly. However, performance cars often have seized bolts or hidden leaks that only show up once we get the car on the lift. If we find an issue that adds more than 45 minutes of extra bolt-on time, we stop and call you. We do not like surprise bills, so we keep you informed throughout the process.

Final pricing depends on the actual time spent on the tools and the cost of materials. Booking a bay slot means we have dedicated a lift and a mechanic to your vehicle. If you cannot make your appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. This allows us to offer the slot to another client from our active list of 114 owners. We charge for technical precision and real-world results on the dyno. We do not offer discounts for 'exposure' or social media mentions.

Fabrication and Custom Parts

In our metalwork shop, we only use Grade 2 titanium for exhaust builds. Every joint is TIG welded with full argon back-purging to prevent internal oxidation. This is a slow and technical process. Because of the precision required, custom exhaust builds usually have a 2-week lead time. We also use our manual lathe and milling machine to create custom bungs and spacers. Once a titanium part has been welded specifically for your chassis, it cannot be returned or refunded. We build these systems to handle intense heat cycles and vibration.

For all engine servicing, we use OEM filters and the specific oil weights required by the factory. We do not use 'off the shelf' tuning files from the internet for our ECU mapping. Alistair Vance builds every map on our dyno to match UK fuel quality and local weather. We focus on smoothing out the torque curve rather than just chasing peak numbers. If you provide your own parts for us to fit, we cannot offer a warranty on the part itself, only on our labour to install it.

Mechanical Reality and Liability

High-performance driving puts a lot of stress on mechanical parts. While we use factory-level diagnostics and lathe-turned precision, metal can fail under load. Tecnologico Meze is not liable for engine or gearbox failures caused by track racing, poor fuel quality, or lack of maintenance after the car leaves our Southampton workshop. We provide dyno logs and data sheets as a record of how the car performed while it was in our care. Our goal is a safe, reliable pull through the gears, not a blown head gasket.

We keep detailed service records for our clients to track wear and tear over time. If you have a concern about a repair or a weld, we ask that you bring the car back to the workshop immediately. Speak with Callum Thorne directly so we can look at the technical grit of the issue. We handle all disputes with professional honesty and technical facts. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. We are here to keep your Italian steel on the road and performing as it should.
