Privacy Policy for Tecnologico Meze

Last updated: March 2025

At Tecnologico Meze, we run a grounded workshop in Southampton. Our focus is on the technical grit of Italian performance cars. This privacy policy describes how we handle the information you share with us. We are located at 11 Oxford Road, Southampton, SO14 6DJ. Callum Thorne is the lead fabricator and owner responsible for your data. We don't have a large corporate team; we are a small group of 4 mechanics who value direct talk and honest work. When you visit our site or book a workshop bay, we collect certain details to make sure your car gets the right treatment.

We follow the general rules for data protection in the United Kingdom. This means we are open about what we collect and why. We don't use your info for anything other than fixing, tuning, or fabricating parts for your vehicle. Whether it is a routine oil flush or a custom titanium manifold build, your data is treated with technical precision. We keep things simple and avoid the fluff found in most legal documents. Honestly, we would rather be on the tools than reading fine print, but we take your privacy seriously.

We collect data when you interact with our workshop. This usually happens through our contact forms or during a phone call. We ask for your full name, email address, and a phone number where we can reach you. More importantly, we ask for technical data about your car. This includes the make, model, year, and sometimes specific mechanical history. Knowing your engine's health helps us prepare for your dyno session or your 3,000-mile service interval. We also record technical metrics like heat cycles, back pressure data, and ECU maps specific to your engine block.

Our website uses standard server logs. These logs might record your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. This is purely for technical maintenance and to prevent bots from spamming our booking system. We do not use this data to track you across the internet. We also use small files called cookies to help the site function properly. Honestly, we prefer spending our time on the lathe rather than digging through web analytics. Every piece of information we hold is there to help Alistair Vance or Julian Pearce do a better job on your car's engine block or exhaust system.

The information we collect is used to manage your workshop sessions and provide technical updates. If Alistair is remapping your ECU on the dyno, he needs your data logs to ensure the 98 octane calibration is safe for UK weather. If Callum is welding a titanium exhaust, he needs your contact info to discuss the specific tone and weight savings. We use your details to send quotes, schedule bay slots, and follow up on the mechanical work we have performed. We don't send automated marketing spam because we find it as annoying as a vacuum leak.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with outside companies for marketing purposes. We only share your information when it is necessary to complete a job. For example, we might share your vehicle specs with an OEM parts supplier to ensure we get the correct gasket or sensor. These partners only get the data they need to fulfill the order. In very rare cases, we might have to share data if required by UK law, but we would always aim to keep you informed. Your privacy stays within the walls of our Oxford Road shop as much as possible.

You have full control over the data we hold about you. You can request a copy of your service records, dyno logs, or contact information at any time. If you find an error in our records, such as an old address or an outdated car model, let us know and we will fix it. You also have the right to ask us to delete your personal data from our systems. We typically keep service records for several years because it helps us track the wear and tear on your vehicle over time. However, if you want that history wiped, we will do it without a fuss.

To make a request, you can email tuning@tecnologicomeze.com or visit us at the shop. We aim to respond to all data-related queries within 3 to 6 hours during our normal business hours. We handle these requests personally, usually through Callum Thorne. We don't use automated systems for this. We believe in being upfront about how we work. Whether it is a question about your titanium welds or your personal data, we give you a straight answer. Our goal is to maintain a professional and transparent relationship with all 114 of our active clients.
