Technical questions from the shop floor
Direct answers about how we handle Italian engines, back-purging, and dyno sessions at our Southampton workshop.
Can I wait at the shop while you work?
Honestly, no. We don't have a showroom or a coffee bar—just four guys and some oily bays on Oxford Road. Most services take 3.2 hours or more. It is best to drop the car off at 9:00 and we will text you once the diagnostic log is finished.
Do you use 'off the shelf' tuning files?
No. Generic files from the internet don't account for 98 octane fuel in the UK or the local humidity here in Southampton. We build every map on the dyno based on your engine's specific health. We focus on torque curves, not just peak numbers for a brochure.
Why does a titanium exhaust build take 2 weeks?
Titanium is picky about oxygen. We only use Grade 2 titanium and every joint is TIG welded with full back-purging. This prevents internal oxidation that makes welds brittle. It is a slow process—roughly 3 times slower than steel—but it keeps the system from cracking after a few heat cycles.
Do you work on other car brands?
We focus our tooling and software on Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Maserati. We have the factory-level diagnostics for these brands. We might take on a high-spec Alfa, but we usually say no to other brands if we aren't the right fit for that specific engine block.
How accurate are your initial price quotes?
Performance cars often have seized bolts or hidden leaks that only show up once the undertray is off. If we find something that adds more than 45 minutes of labour, we stop and call you. We don't like surprise bills, so we keep the communication direct.
What kind of power gains will I see?
We don't promise 'stages' or round numbers like 100HP gains. Every engine block has a different history. We look at live data like fuel trims and knock sensors to see what the car can safely handle. Our goal is a smooth pull on the dyno, not a blown head gasket.

We're a small team of 4. Most routine services are handled within 3 business days. For custom exhaust fabrication, we usually have a 2-week lead time.
